The Typewriter Database 1952 Olivetti Lexikon 80 Serial # 2246770 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Mary Echevarria: 1952 Olivetti Lexikon 80 Serial # 2246770 I found this Lexikon 80 at a Goodwill in a suburb of San Francisco for $18.99. It was in rough shape cosmetically-speaking: very grimy. It was gummy mechanically, but it responded to cleaning and a few minor fixes. To me, it is one of my most beautiful typewriters.

Made in Ivrea, Italy.

The cover and carriage are easily removed with just six screws.

The Lexikon 80 serial number is found next the right ribbon spool.

I'm a novice collector with a very small collection of mostly nonfunctional typewriters. I enjoy tinkering and repairs, so I am slowly but surely putting these typewriters back into service.
