1934 Royal O Serial # O-401372 1934 Royal O typewriter, Serial # O-401372 Mark Petersen's 1934 Royal O typewriter. 2015-03-22 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Mark Petersen: 1934 Royal O Serial # O-401372 This little Royal Portable was purchased for $30 from the Pulaski, Virginia Habitat for Humanity Restore. It was actually behind an "employees only" area but I saw the case and I had to know. Never before have I seen such a compelling case! The machine itself is heavily worn, missing pieces (back panel), but works like a charm. It isn't as soft as it should be (compared to similar Royals) but it is still a joy to type on. I call it FUBAR as a nickname and FUBAR is a testament to Royal's quality of construction. That a machine could be this trashed, and perform this well, is incredible.
