1920 Corona 3 Serial # 287904 1920 Corona 3 typewriter, Serial # 287904 Jacob Gilliam's 1920 Corona 3 typewriter. 2018-09-10 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Jacob Gilliam: 1920 Corona 3 Serial # 287904 This machine came with its original case, a couple newspaper clippings, its manual with some 1922 American Lung Association stamps affixed inside (surely by accident), and a 1949 receipt of repair, showing installation of a new escapement rack. It was in bad need of alignment, and I think it still needs to have its platen/rollers recovered. I'm not sure I will do that, though, since this guy is a bit cumbersome to use. It is very pretty, though, I think.

Maybe this should have been my front photo.

Notice the folding arm being angle bar rather than thick, solid stuff. Apparently that's rare... like 48 THOUSAND of them.

I am a student, father, and metrologist (gauges, not weather), Dungeon Master and typewriter tinkerer extraordinaire! I've only been at collecting and fixing since August 2018, but I already am a more confident person. I have learned a great deal from many of the wonderful resources available on the Internet, and I've met a lot of awesome people in my travels! Hopefully some folks can say the same about me!
